Blues Across America - Nashville Scene Nashville has been known as "Music City
USA" for some time, but long before the country music industry became established there in the mid-1950s, a rhythm and blues industry flourished. While the scene went through some recording changes during the late
‘70s, it was the blues boom of the ‘90s that brought many of the bigger names back. Voices from the shadows soon followed, along with some young blood, until a full-blown revival was happening. The Nashville blues
scene is back and this featured slice includes four great artists of the ‘50s and ‘60s who are still recording today – and still got somethin’ to say.
