James Harman
This
is James Harman's first release of new material in three years. In 1997
James along with Cannonball Records re-released the critically acclaimed
"Extra Napkins" and was rewarded with W.C. Handy and Living
Blues Magazine nominations for re-issue of the year. This year, the -renaissance-man
of the blues- brings us "TAKIN' CHANCES". It s a Fun-Filled
theme 'album about the gambles we take in life, love, relationships and
money, as well as the sometime futile pursuit of them all. James is a
raconteur of the first order and surrounds himself with the gutsy guitar
talents of "Strollin " Bob Margolin, Junior Watson and Kid Ramos,
all-stars of the contemporary blues scene in their own right, not to mention
his great new band. A vintage yet modern sound with great arrangements,
songwriting, playing and singing, this is probably James Harman's best
record to date, "TAKIN' CHANCES" is a sure thing, baby.
